If you want to hide the direct messages on the instagram. You can apply this setting, Go to your message inbox and click to swipe the left and click any chat inbox for some second and after the click on the hide. 

How to hide instagram Conversation

1. You receive the any messsage and DM's You not seen this message
2. Open the instagram and direct to click on the top of the right corner
3. Do not open the any chat you want to no the option of read reciep will enable of the sender
4. Click on the cellular option and disconnect the internet from your mobile device

1. Primary 
2. and General

General: Notifications of any unread messages and chat. You can turned off for the General tab, but we can turn them on in Settings. The General tab is used for messages you’d like to take back to later.

You can  see message request in your inbox. request are immediate messages from accounts that you don't follow. You can decide to acknowledge or deny these solicitations, and solicitation messages aren't set apart as "seen" until you acknowledge them. If you tap on All Requests, you can pick Top Requests to see your sales composed by huge records. You can similarly move recognized messages into the Primary or General tabs.
