1. Drag and drop across apps in iOS 15

Apple has brought iOS support to its famous "drag and drop" feature. In iOS 15, you can select text, images, links, or files from any application, and then drag and drop it into another application.

To use this feature, just tap and hold the file, swipe up with another finger to go to the home screen, open another application, and drop the file there.

2. Gadgets suggest iOS 15 hidden features

Based on the widget features of iOS 14, iOS 15 brings a new feature to the widget stack menu. When creating a widget stack in iOS 15, a new widget suggestion option will appear. Widget Suggestions will automatically recommend new widgets for your stack based on your usage and preferences. I think this is a very neat hidden feature of iOS 15 that can help a lot of people

3. Turn off dedicated relays for specific Wi-Fi connections

Apple announced a new feature called Private Relay in iOS 15. This feature is part of the Apple iCloud+ subscription and prevents third-party trackers from accessing your Internet connection. However, in some cases, this may slow down your internet speed.

If you feel that Private Relay is delaying your Internet connection, you can turn it off for Wi-Fi connection. That's it:

Go to Settings → Wi-Fi.

Press the "i" button next to the connected Wi-Fi.

Now, scroll down and turn off iCloud Private Relay.

In iOS 14, Apple introduced an application library to store all your applications. With this, Apple allows users to disable home screen pages they no longer need. In iOS 15, the hidden home screen page can be completely deleted. To do this,

Click the dot above the Dock.

Uncheck the home screen page you want to delete.

Click the "-" sign in the upper left corner of the page, and then select Delete.

iOS 15 brings back one of the most popular features. Now, when selecting text or changing the cursor position, a pre-iOS 13 style magnifying glass will pop up. This makes moving the cursor effortless, and I am very happy that Apple has brought it back. However, you can still click and hold the iPhone’s space bar to move the cursor.

4. Custom text size for different applications

In iOS 15, you can set a different text size for each application. For example, you can set the text size of a reading app to be larger, and other apps to be smaller (or default). To do this,

Go to Settings → Control Center.

Now, open the application for which you want to change the text size.

Open the control center and select only "applications".

Next, reduce or increase the text size as needed.

Live Text is an excellent iOS 15 feature. It makes copying text easier. But, did you know that you can use Live Text to open websites and emails directly?

Open Safari on iPhone.

Tap the address bar and select the text from the camera.

Now, scan the address of the website.

Prosperity will open the website directly on Safari.

Or, you can scan any text for quick web search.

This is one of my favorite hidden features of iOS 15. When you turn off the iPhone, it will not shut down. It will enter Power Reserve mode to make it behave like AirTag. In this mode, when your iPhone is turned off, you can use the location of surrounding Apple devices to track your iPhone through the "Find" application on other Apple devices.

Apple says that even if your iPhone has been restored to factory settings, you can still track your iPhone. Apple in iOS 15 will display a label when the iPhone is shut down, which says "The position is visible after shutting down", telling users that the iPhone can still be tracked when it is shut down.

5. New audio and video calling effects in all video call applications. Audio and video effects for iOS 15

In iOS 15, Apple introduced new FaceTime features, including new portrait video and voice isolation audio effects. Portrait mode blurs the background, just as we are used to during Zoom and Google Meet calls.

Voice isolation filters out your voice from background noise, making it easier for others to hear your voice. But you know what? You can also use these features in all other applications, such as Snapchat and WhatsApp.

Check out our guide to learn how to blur the background for clearer results in any video calling app.

6. Pull to refresh in Safari Use iOS 15 to pull to refresh Safari

iOS 15 brings a new and redesigned Safari. The new Safari application on the iPhone has a bottom address bar, tab selection, and more. But with the new redesign, the refresh button has been moved down to the three-dot part.

But don't worry that Apple has added a simple "pull to refresh" gesture. On any webpage, just drag down until the iOS loading wheel appears and then release. The page should reload.

7. Swipe gesture in Safari Safari swipe gesture in iOS 15

Closing tabs in the redesigned Safari is cumbersome. The "x" button is too small, it will become smaller when you open hundreds of tabs. Fortunately, Apple added a swipe to close the Tab gesture in Safari. Just swipe right or left on the tab to close it.

Navigating tabs is also easier now. When you have multiple tabs open, just swipe right or left to navigate between the open tabs.

Want another hint? When you want to open a new tab, instead of selecting the label button and then selecting the plus button, swiping to the right will open a new tab.

8. Safari add background image

You can even add a background to the Safari application on iOS 15. to this end,

Open a new tab in Safari.

Scroll down and click Edit.

Switch the background image and select the desired wallpaper.

Note: You can also import the background from the "Photos" application.

Spotlight got a major upgrade this year. It provides rich search results, search in photos, etc. One minor adjustment that Apple did not announce is the ability to access Spotlight from the lock screen. You can now swipe down on the lock screen to access Spotlight. This may come in handy for quickly searching for contacts or making quick calls.

9. Change the playback speed of the built-in iOS media player Change the playback speed of the built-in iOS media player

YouTube allows you to stream videos at 2x the speed. However, not all websites provide this feature. The default media player in iOS 15 can change the playback speed by itself. Tap the three dots in the media player, and then select the desired playback speed.

10.Notify the separation alert in iOS 15 when the AirTag option falls behind

AirTag makes item tracking easier. In iOS 15, Apple introduced a feature to ensure that you never forget your important items.

Now you can set separate alarms for the most important AirTag. In the AirTag section of "Find My", turn on "Notify when you fall behind." In order to prevent AirTag from consuming more battery, you can also set a location where it does not need to be notified.

11. Make FaceTime calls directly from the messaging app. Facetime messaging app in iOS 15

Before iOS 15, making FaceTime calls from the Messages app was a two-step process. You have to click on the contact’s profile photo and then select the video call button.

In iOS 15, you can directly make FaceTime calls by selecting the camera button in the upper right corner.

12. EXIF data in the photo app and "Save from" EXIF data in the iOS 15 photo app and save from

So far, Apple has not allowed iPhone users to view information such as image size, resolution, and the sensor used to take the photo. You can click the small "i" button in the toolbar at the bottom of the new photo app to view the detailed information of the photo.

18. Convert Live Photo to Loop, Bounce and Long Exposure Convert Live Photo to Loop, Bounce and Long Exposure in iOS 15

You can also convert real-time photos into loops, bounces, and long exposures directly in the photo app on iOS 15. When taking a live photo, click the small down arrow next to it to convert it to loop, bounce, or long exposure.

13. Broadcast calls and notifications in AirPods Broadcast calls and notifications in AirPods

In iOS 15, you just need Siri to read all your notifications or tell you who the caller is. Another hidden feature of iOS 15 related to AirPods is the ability to enhance dialogue sounds.

When you are in a busy environment and talking on the phone, it is often difficult to listen to the other person's voice. Now, your AirPods Pro or higher can also "enhance" the other party's voice.

14. Storm notifications in the weather app

The weather app in iOS 15 can notify you when it rains or snowstorms. To enable this feature,

Open the weather app on your iPhone.

Click 3 dots on upper right corner.

Choose a notification.

With this option, you can upload data to iCloud. Even if you don’t have enough storage space, Apple will Temporarily increase your iCloud storage space to help you easily switch devices. In addition, this option will also tell you the value of the device's trade-in.

15. Automatically upgrade HTTP connection to HTTPS automatically upgrade HTTP connection to HTTPS in iOS 15

In iOS 15, Safari automatically upgrades non-secure HTTP connections to HTTPS. This ensures that the connection between your iPhone and the website is secure, and no one is eavesdropping between the two.

16. Log application activity

In iOS 14, Apple introduced a feature called "Privacy Reports", which generates reports of all third-party trackers that try to monitor you. Apple implements a similar feature in iOS 15, where you can see how apps access your iPhone resources, such as the camera or microphone. You can even see the website to which the app uploaded your data.

To enable this feature,

Go to Settings → Privacy.

Scroll down and enable logging app activity.

After a period of time, this section will begin to display application behavior reports.
